1 Terms and conditions

By accessing or using the Website you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
We may revise these terms and conditions from time to time by updating this posting. The revised terms will take effect when they are posted.

2 Licence to use the content on the Website

(a) You acknowledge that the Website is subject to copyright and possibly other intellectual property rights.
(b) We grant you a limited, non-transferable licence to access and use the Website solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes except for fully paid up members of TAT, who have non-transferable licence to access password protected pages for their personal purposes, with the rights to use the technical information contained therein for their personal use to assist in the repair and maintenance of vehicles assigned to them by customers.
(c) We grant fully paid up members of TAT single rights to reprint technical information contained in the password protected pages of this website, on condition that the pages so reprinted are not shared with any other person, or distributed in any manner.
(d) We retain all right, title, and interest in and to the Website, and nothing you do on or in relation to the Website will transfer any Intellectual Property Rights to you.
(e) Except as provided in these terms and conditions, permission to reprint or electronically reproduce the Website in whole or in part for any other purpose is expressly prohibited, unless prior written consent is obtained from us. You may contact us if you wish to obtain such consent.
(f) Subject to applicable law, we may revoke the permissions referred to above at any time and may suspend or deny, in our sole discretion, your access to all or any portion of the Website without notice.

(a) We encourage you to provide links to this Website. While you may use the name "tat.net.au" in the text of any such link, you may not use The Automotive Technician logo without our prior written consent.
(b) You must not represent or imply that any part of the Website belongs to anyone other than us.
(c) If we notify you that we object to the manner in which you provide links to this Website, you must immediately cease providing such links.   

4 General restrictions

In using the Website, you must not:

(a) The Automotive Technician Pty Ltd publishes technical advice and actual case studies for the purpose of educating technicians.
These advices are given in good faith, and are based on actual workshop repairs. No guarantee is given, nor any liability accepted in respect to any published advice.
The Automotive Technician Pty Ltd is not responsible for the accuracy of any information contained in material submitted by third parties and published on this Website and accepts no liability in relation to such materials or their content.
All advertisers agree to indemnify the publisher for all damages or liabilities arising from their published or unpublished material.
(b) While we endeavour to provide an informative Website, we do not guarantee that that your requirements will be met or that your use of the Website will be uninterrupted, error free or that the Website or the server from which it operates are free of viruses or other harmful components.
(c) We cannot be responsible for any loss, corruption or interception of data sent to or from our Website which occurs outside of our computer systems.

(i) special, indirect, consequential, incidental or punitive damages; or

TAT STANDARD MEMBERSHIP
POLICY
Covering Returns and Refunds, Liabilities and Personal Details


TAT is a magazine published by The Automotive Technician Pty Ltd. By completing your membership form and agreeing to purchase a membership, you:

  • Instruct TAT to use the contact information and order details you entered on the membership form to provide a membership to the TAT magazine for the duration of the contract.
  • Acknowledge that prices quoted are inclusive of delivery costs. You also understand that 'tip-ons' and gifts that may be available with non-member copies may not be provided with member copies, depending on publisher's discretion.
  • Agree that any errors made in entering the contact information and order details on the membership form are your responsibility and TAT is not liable for any consequences of such errors or incorrect information, including but not limited to failure to send the magazines subscribed for to the correct address. If you change address or any other relevant details, you must notify TAT.
  • Agree that TAT and its employees and agents will not be liable to you or any other person for any loss, injury or damage arising from or as a consequence of any act or omission by TAT or any person providing services through the TAT magazine or TAT web site.
  • May cancel membership of a magazine or network joined at any time during the membership. Simply notify TAT by emailing info@tat.net.au  detailing your name, order number, and reason for the cancellation, and the request will be actioned within 5 working days. No refund will be paid for any unused portion of the contracted TaT membership year.
  • In no circumstances will you receive a refund for a magazine received by you. If you have any queries regarding delivery of magazines ordered by you, you should contact info@tat.net.au. TAT is responsible for delivery of the magazines ordered by you.
  • Agree that all offers made, contracts concluded and services provided through the TAT magazine and website shall be deemed to be made and provided in Australia, shall be governed exclusively by Australian law, and the Courts of Australia shall have exclusive jurisdiction to determine any such matters involving or alleged to involve TAT.
  • Agree that your name, address and email address shall when provided by you become the property of The automotive Technician Pty Ltd. You agree to the TAT Privacy Policy contained on the TAT website.
  • Acknowledge that these Standard Membership Returns and Refunds policies may be modified from time to time, and agree that you are responsible for regularly reviewing these Standard Membership policies, and you agree to any such modification.
  • Agree that, to the extent permitted by law, TAT and/or its suppliers exclude all liability for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential damages, or any damages whatsoever including without limitation, damages for loss of life, data or profits, arising out of or in any way connected with the use or performance of the TAT Site, the delay or inability to use the TAT Site, the provision of or failure to provide goods or services, or any information, software, products or services obtained through the TAT Site.
