About C1125

C1125 is a manufacturer-specific chassis diagnostic trouble code. It belongs to the C-prefix family of codes, which covers chassis, braking, steering, suspension, or stability-control faults.

When C1125 is stored, the module has detected a sensor-related fault — the reported value from the named sensor is out of spec.

Scanning & clearing: Chassis (C) codes are stored in the ABS, traction control, or stability-control modules. An enhanced or OEM-level scan tool is usually required to read and clear them.

C1125 is a manufacturer-specific code. The same code string on a different make may have a different meaning. Always confirm the code's definition against the vehicle's service information for the specific make and model under test.

Code Information

The brake fluid level sensor is a float operated switch mounted in the brake master cylinder reservoir that signals the control module when the fluid drops below a safe level. The ABS or electronic brake control module monitors this input to warn the driver and, on some systems, to inhibit certain brake functions when the level is low. C1125 sets when the module detects a fault in the brake fluid level sensor input circuit, such as an open, a short, or an implausible signal state. When this code is set the brake warning lamp may be illuminated, the low fluid warning may be unreliable, and rela...
