The blend door actuator is a small electric motor driven flap positioner that mixes heated and cooled air inside the HVAC case to control cabin temperature. The HVAC control module, or on some vehicles the body control module, drives the actuator through a dedicated driver output and monitors its position through an internal potentiometer or hall effect feedback.
