Code Information

The Body Control Module (BCM) monitors the accessory delay relay coil circuit, which controls retained accessory power to systems such as power windows, sunroof, and radio for a short period after the ignition is switched off. DTC B1305 is set when the BCM detects a short to ground on the relay coil control wire. The BCM normally switches this wire to ground at appropriate times to energise the relay, so a permanent ground short takes control away from the BCM and may also cause excessive current draw on the driver output.
