Code Information

The Body Control Module (BCM) or Door Control Module (DCM) sets B1404 when it detects an open circuit on the driver power window down motor drive output. The module energises the down side of the window motor through a relay or an integrated H bridge driver and monitors current flow during the commanded operation; B1404 sets when no current flows during the command, indicating a broken conductor between the module or relay and the window motor, an open motor armature, or a connector that has separated.
