Code Information

The Body Control Module (BCM) or lighting control module monitors the left turn signal output for proper voltage levels and current flow during operation. DTC B1502 sets when the module detects the output wire pulled to chassis ground when it should be sitting at a normal voltage level, indicating the supply path has shorted to ground somewhere in the harness or at the lamp. A short to ground commonly causes a fuse to blow as soon as the BCM tries to drive the circuit, since the bulb is bypassed and full current flows directly to chassis.
