Code Information

The PATS (Passive Anti Theft System) module is responsible for verifying the presence of a programmed transponder chip embedded in the ignition key before allowing the engine to start. DTC B1600 sets when the PATS transceiver, which is mounted around the ignition lock cylinder, fails to receive any radio frequency signal back from the key transponder during the start sequence.
