Code Information

The Body Control Module (BCM) monitors the driver side mirror vertical switch input through a dedicated low current circuit. DTC B1735 is set when the BCM detects a short to battery voltage on this input, meaning an unintended supply has bridged onto the wire that should normally sit at a low reference level. In healthy operation the switch pulls the input to ground only when the driver commands an up or down movement, so any reading at battery potential when the switch is at rest is interpreted by the BCM as a hard fault.
