Code Information

The Restraint Control Module (RCM) monitors the passenger airbag squib circuit to verify continuity of the deployment loop running to the passenger airbag module mounted in the dashboard. DTC B1933 sets when the RCM detects an open circuit or excessively high resistance on the passenger airbag squib loop, meaning the squib cannot be reliably commanded to fire during a deployment event.
