Code Information

The Restraints Control Module (RCM) uses remote front impact sensors (commonly referred to as crash sensors) mounted near the front bumper or fender to detect collision events and confirm that a deployment event has occurred. DTC B1941 is set when the RCM detects an open circuit on the feed or return side of crash sensor number 1, which on most applications is the front left impact sensor.
