The Body Control Module (BCM) controls the right front park lamp output, which drives the right side parking (position) lamp circuit. DTC B2491 is set when the BCM detects battery voltage on its right front park lamp output wire at a time when it should not be present, indicating a short to battery somewhere in the harness, the lamp assembly, or an aftermarket lighting installation.
