Code Information

The Body Control Module (BCM), or in some vehicles the Transmission Control Module via a backup lamp request, monitors the left rear backup lamp circuit and detects circuit failures including open circuits, shorts, and bulb failures. DTC B2525 is set when the BCM detects that current draw on the left rear reversing lamp output is outside expected parameters while the lamp is commanded on.
