On this Ford system the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) uses adaptive fuel control to hold the air to fuel ratio near stoichiometric using Bank 2 oxygen sensor feedback. DTC P1154 sets when the Bank 2 fuel control has shifted rich, meaning the PCM has had to remove a large amount of fuel through negative fuel trim to correct a persistent rich condition and has reached the limit of its adaptive authority.
