Code Information

This General Motors specific code applies to the Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) System on drive by wire vehicles, and on some platforms to an Average Pump Period fuel measurement. On the common drive by wire application there is no mechanical link between the pedal and the throttle body, and instead the pedal assembly carries two or three Accelerator Pedal Position sensors that each output a voltage proportional to pedal travel.
