Code Information

DTC P1125 is set when the Engine Control Module (ECM) detects a fault in the electronic throttle actuator control system serious enough to force the throttle motor into fail safe, or limp, mode. In this protective mode the ECM removes drive from the throttle motor and a return spring holds the plate at a small fixed opening, while idle and limited power are managed through other means to prevent unintended acceleration.
