Code Information

The front heated oxygen sensor on bank 2 (Sensor 1), the left cylinder bank, reports exhaust oxygen content to the Engine Control Module (ECM) as a switching voltage used for closed loop fuel control on that bank. The ECM periodically drives the mixture rich and lean and times how quickly the sensor responds. DTC P1154 sets when the bank 2 sensor transition time between rich and lean exceeds a calibrated limit, marking it as sluggish and no longer accurate enough for fuel control.
