When P1225 is stored, the module has detected a short-circuit (voltage pulled to ground or to supply) in the monitored circuit.

Code Information

The cylinder 1 fuel injector is supplied with battery voltage from the fuel pump relay or an injector fuse, and the Engine Control Module opens the injector by switching the low side of the circuit to ground for the calculated pulse width. When the module is not commanding injection it expects the control wire to rise back to near battery voltage through the injector winding, so a circuit that stays low tells the ECM something other than its own driver is pulling the line to earth.
