Code Information

When the Engine Control Module fires an injector it ramps the drive current up to a defined target within a defined window and then holds it there. On a direct injection engine that ramp comes from a boosted high voltage rail generated inside the module, while on a port injection engine it comes from battery voltage through the injector winding. The module measures the current actually achieved and compares it against the target.
