Code Information

DTC P1128 is set by the Engine Control Module (ECM) when it detects a short circuit in the throttle motor control circuit of the electric throttle control actuator fitted to Nissan and Infiniti vehicles. The ECM powers the throttle motor through a current monitored driver, and a short between the control wires, a short to ground or battery voltage, or a shorted motor winding produces excessive current that triggers this code.
