Intake manifold air control solenoid circuit fault
P1800 — Intake manifold air control solenoid circuit fault
System: Powertrain | Type: Manufacturer-Specific | Make: Infiniti
P1800 is a manufacturer-specific powertrain diagnostic trouble code recorded for Infiniti vehicles. It belongs to the P-prefix family of codes, which covers engine, transmission, emissions, or fuel-system faults.
When P1800 is stored, the module has detected an electrical-circuit fault in the wiring, connector, or driver associated with the named component.
Scanning & clearing: A generic OBD-II scan tool will usually read and clear powertrain (P) codes. For live data, freeze-frame capture, and bi-directional tests you may need a more capable scan tool that supports the vehicle's ECM protocol.
P1800 is a manufacturer-specific code. The same code string on a different make may have a different meaning. Always confirm the code's definition against the vehicle's service information for the specific make and model under test.
This Infiniti DTC sets when the Engine Control Module (ECM) detects an open, short, or out of range condition in the intake manifold air control solenoid circuit. The solenoid switches the vacuum supply to the intake manifold runner control system, which opens and closes runner flaps to tune intake airflow for strong low speed torque and good high speed power. The ECM monitors the solenoid circuit electrically and sets the fault when the resistance is out of range or the solenoid does not respond to activation commands. With the runners stuck in one position, the driver may notice reduced low ...
