Code Information

The electronic throttle control system uses a throttle control motor relay to supply battery power to the throttle actuator motor inside the throttle body. DTC P1124 is set when the Engine Control Module (ECM) detects a short circuit in the throttle control motor relay circuit, typically sensing that the relay is stuck on or that the relay drive circuit is shorted.
