Code Information

The EGRC solenoid valve is the Exhaust Gas Recirculation Control solenoid on Nissan engines, which the Engine Control Module (ECM) energises to switch vacuum to the EGR valve so a metered amount of exhaust gas is recirculated into the intake to lower combustion temperatures and reduce NOx emissions. DTC P1400 sets when the ECM detects that the EGRC solenoid valve control circuit is electrically open or shorted, so the measured circuit current does not match the commanded state.
