On this Lexus the Engine Control Module (ECM) controls each ignition coil through an igniter, sending an ignition timing command known as IGT and monitoring an ignition confirmation signal known as IGF that confirms each coil has fired. DTC P1310 sets when the ECM commands ignition on the number 3 igniter circuit but the IGF confirmation does not return correctly, or it detects a fault in that circuit.
