Torque Converter Clutch solenoid circuit fault
P1755 — Torque Converter Clutch solenoid circuit fault
System: Powertrain | Type: Manufacturer-Specific | Make: Toyota
P1755 is a manufacturer-specific powertrain diagnostic trouble code recorded for Toyota vehicles. It belongs to the P-prefix family of codes, which covers engine, transmission, emissions, or fuel-system faults.
When P1755 is stored, the module has detected an electrical-circuit fault in the wiring, connector, or driver associated with the named component.
Scanning & clearing: A generic OBD-II scan tool will usually read and clear powertrain (P) codes. For live data, freeze-frame capture, and bi-directional tests you may need a more capable scan tool that supports the vehicle's ECM protocol.
P1755 is a manufacturer-specific code. The same code string on a different make may have a different meaning. Always confirm the code's definition against the vehicle's service information for the specific make and model under test.
The torque converter clutch solenoid controls the hydraulic application and release of the converter lockup clutch, which mechanically couples the engine to the transmission at cruise to reduce slip and improve fuel economy. The Transmission Control Module switches or modulates the solenoid and monitors its circuit for the expected voltage and current. DTC P1755 sets when the module detects an electrical fault on the TCC solenoid circuit, such as an open, a short to ground or power, or abnormal current flow that does not match the commanded state. With this fault the module usually disables co...
