Code Information

The Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) reports throttle plate angle to the Engine Control Module (ECM) for control of airflow and idle. DTC P1123 sets when the ECM detects the throttle position signal remains at or near a wide open value and does not return toward closed when commanded, indicating the throttle is mechanically stuck open or the TPS is reporting a stuck high signal.
