Code Information

The Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) traps soot from the exhaust stream in a honeycomb substrate and periodically burns it off during a regeneration event, where the ECM raises exhaust gas temperature to around 600 degrees Celsius by injecting additional fuel late in the cycle or through a dedicated exhaust injector.
