C1525 is a manufacturer-specific chassis diagnostic trouble code recorded for Toyota vehicles. It belongs to the C-prefix family of codes, which covers chassis, braking, steering, suspension, or stability-control faults.
When C1525 is stored, the module has detected a sensor-related fault — the reported value from the named sensor is out of spec.

Because the assist calculation depends on an accurate baseline, the zero point must be relearned with a scan tool whenever the torque sensor, steering column, or ECU is disturbed.
