Code Information

This DTC is set by the HVAC control module when it detects a short-to-ground condition on the air flow (mode) door actuator control circuit. The mode door actuator directs cabin airflow between defrost, panel and floor outlets and is driven by a small electric motor with an internal feedback potentiometer. The module continuously monitors the drive and feedback wires for the actuator and the fault is triggered when the voltage on the affected circuit is pulled abnormally low by a direct short to chassis ground.
