The infotainment head unit on Holden GM platforms monitors each of its four discrete speaker output channels by measuring the load and signal return on every output. DTC B1055 sets when, in ACCESSORY, RUN, or Retained Accessory Power (RAP) mode with system voltage between 9V and 16V, the radio detects a short to ground, a short to battery voltage, or an open circuit (or high resistance) on the right rear (channel 4) speaker output, and the condition persists beyond the module's diagnostic threshold.
