Code Information

The Data Communication Module (DCM, also called the telematics ECU) monitors the emergency call (SOS) switch input circuit located in the overhead roof console. DTC B15C5 is stored when, with the ignition on, the DCM detects an abnormal switch signal condition such as short to battery, short to ground, open circuit, or a stuck active state for a calibrated period of time. The SOS switch is a pushbutton designed to initiate an emergency call to a telematics call centre that contacts emergency services on behalf of the vehicle occupants.
