Code Information

The Engine Control Module (ECM) monitors fuel rail pressure in relation to commanded fuel pump duty cycle and fuel quantity demand to confirm the high pressure fuel pump is mechanically capable of delivering the required pressure. DTC P3043 is set when the ECM detects that the high pressure fuel system is unable to achieve or maintain the specified rail pressure despite correct electrical activation and a known good metering valve command.
