The Climate Control Module (or BCM on integrated systems) monitors the passenger side solar radiation sensor mounted on the upper dash to assess sunload intensity on that side of the cabin. The automatic climate control system uses sunload data to bias airflow and outlet temperature so that occupants on the sunny side stay comfortable when the sun heats one side of the car more than the other.
