Code Information

The PCM monitors the status of the fuel cut off (inertia) switch to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the fuel pump circuit. DTC P152E is set when the PCM detects that the fuel cut off switch has opened, interrupting fuel pump operation. This condition is typically triggered by a sudden impact, shock, or excessive vehicle movement, but can also be logged if the switch or its circuit opens unexpectedly during normal operation. When the switch is open the engine will crank but not start, or may stall, until the switch is reset and the circuit restored.
