The Body Control Module, ADAS module, or blind spot monitoring controller communicates with the right blind spot sensor, a radar unit mounted in the rear corner of the vehicle behind the bumper. This sensor detects vehicles in the right blind spot and approaching from the rear for blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert. DTC U11FA sets when the controlling module loses communication with the right blind spot sensor for a calibrated period, receiving no valid messages.
