Code Information

The Restraints Control Module (RCM) continuously monitors the driver side curtain airbag deployment circuit for correct resistance and circuit integrity. DTC B2294 is set when the RCM detects an electrical fault in the driver side curtain airbag circuit, such as an open circuit, short to ground, or short to battery, outside the specified resistance range. When this fault is present, the RCM disables the affected airbag circuit to prevent unintended deployment and may illuminate the airbag warning lamp.
