Power Supply Voltage Too Low
U1563 (16) — Power Supply Voltage Too Low
System: Network Communication | Type: Manufacturer-Specific | Make: LDV
U1563 is a manufacturer-specific network communication diagnostic trouble code recorded for LDV vehicles. It belongs to the U-prefix family of codes, which covers inter-module network communication (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, or similar) faults.
When U1563 is stored, the module has detected a signal or supply voltage lower than the expected operating range.
Scanning & clearing: Network (U) codes report communication faults between modules. When diagnosing U-codes, checking the vehicle's CAN bus integrity, supply/ground at each module, and reading all modules for related faults is usually the first step.
U1563 is a manufacturer-specific code. The same code string on a different make may have a different meaning. Always confirm the code's definition against the vehicle's service information for the specific make and model under test.
This DTC sets when a control module detects that its supply voltage has dropped below the calibrated minimum operating threshold for a defined period. The module needs a stable supply to operate reliably, and the code is logged when battery or ignition voltage is too low to guarantee correct operation. This commonly occurs during engine cranking, under heavy electrical load, with a weak battery, or because of a charging system or wiring fault. When supply voltage falls too low, modules can shut down, reset, or communicate incorrectly on the CAN network, so this code often appears alongside los...
