Front Speed Sensor LH Circuit
C1344 — Front Speed Sensor LH Circuit
System: Chassis | Type: Manufacturer-Specific | Make: Lexus
C1344 is a manufacturer-specific chassis diagnostic trouble code recorded for Lexus vehicles. It belongs to the C-prefix family of codes, which covers chassis, braking, steering, suspension, or stability-control faults.
When C1344 is stored, the module has detected a sensor-related fault — the reported value from the named sensor is out of spec.
Scanning & clearing: Chassis (C) codes are stored in the ABS, traction control, or stability-control modules. An enhanced or OEM-level scan tool is usually required to read and clear them.
C1344 is a manufacturer-specific code. The same code string on a different make may have a different meaning. Always confirm the code's definition against the vehicle's service information for the specific make and model under test.
The ABS/VSC ECU monitors the left-hand front wheel speed sensor to calculate individual wheel speed for ABS, traction control, and vehicle stability control functions. DTC C1344 is stored when the ECU detects an abnormal condition in the LH front wheel speed sensor circuit, such as no signal, an erratic or implausible signal compared to other wheels, or a voltage level outside the specified range for a calibrated period while the vehicle is moving. This indicates the ECU cannot reliably determine left-front wheel speed.
