Intermittently will not start or crank.

Sometimes cranks but won’t fire up, or will crank fire and then within a few seconds it cuts out.

Owner had been to the dealer who advised that the first item they would replace was the BCM (body control module) and then if this did not fix it they would have to replace the instrument cluster.
