Convertible top will not work.

Two problems.
First up while trying to operate the convertible top we noticed there was a canopy boot malfunction on the screen due to a box in the boot, the box was just holding up the inside cover and the micro switches had tripped.
Once the area was clear and the front latches were unclipped the rear section of the convertible lifts up, then the canopy cover hooks unlatch and starts to move upwards, it is then the sound of gears slipping occurs.
The only way to make the system go further is to assist the cover by hand until the heavy stage then it fully extended.[[pic1]]
