Engine started cranking over by itself (nobody was in the vehicle). Battery required disconnection to stop the engine cranking.

Problem Summary

We recharged the battery and reconnected and nothing unusual happened at first but about 3 minutes later the engine started to crank by itself (it does not fire up though).
