No gear selection. Auto column shift.

Could not get it cranking, was out of park.

Owner, via road service, got vehicle started and manually put it into gear to drive into workshop.

Second issue was that the crank position hard to engage sometimes, key has to be turned hard and forced. This information was provided after the facts (had been an ongoing issue for quite some time).
