Customer Complaint

The engine will not start since timing belt work carried out.

Problem Summary

Flattening battery all the time, Ignition coming on with key in off position and removed.

Computer remapped for more power. Now vehicle will no longer start

Security and key removed and s/h security system fitted - still no start so original refitted.

Timing belt and pulleys and water pump replaced while problem was being investigated.

Injector pump sent for testing - pump tested okay - crank angle sensor replaced and fuel filters.

Check power and earths to computer.

Tries to start but will not run.

The interrupter on the crankshaft counter wheel does not seem to align with the CKP with the timing marks lined up.

Unable to introduce fault codes by disconnecting sensors except for FRP sensor.

Disconnection of CKP or CMP and engine will not even try to start.

Note - after replacing timing belt engine did start and run for 60 seconds but now will not start.
