Problem Summary

The engine will stall when the gear selector is shifted into reverse and the transmission fault light comes up on the dash. Sometimes after the engine stalls, it will be difficult to restart. If the engine is warm and the idle is below 1000 RPM it will not stall when selecting reverse. It will not stall when selecting drive.
