Customer Complaint

Check Engine light on.

Problem Summary

Customer has their own code reader, and would retrieve Diesel Intake Air Flow Control Stuck Open, clear it, and the light would return every second day.

We carried out full vehicle code scan - with many additional fault codes that the customer would have not seen with their OBD code reader - however, we could see via the scantool that the MIL request was due to fault code P02E4-00 Intake airflow valve stuck open. After noting down freeze frame data, this code would return on the first drive cycle after clearing.

Other codes in Engine Control Module : P02EB-00, P037E-00, P0689-00, P068A-00, P122D-00 - These all cleared and did not return throughout our testing.
