The starter motor intermittently engages/cranks the engine without turning the key after inserting key into the ignition.

After several attempts I was able to verify the customer's complaint.
The starter motor could be heard engaging for a split second after inserting the key into ignition as described.

Sometimes was just an initial click of the solenoid, sometimes would wind the motor for approx 1 second.
