Service Vehicle Soon (SVS) Light on - this is a car with a spanner, not to be confused with the actual 'service light' which is an oil can with a spanner.

The SVS light is a GM-specific light similar to a CEL.

They also noted that "while idling it feels like it is going to take off by itself".

Started car, confirmed SVS light on and even after warm up the car was idling at 1500rpm if you are off the brake pedal - as soon as you touch the brake pedal idle drops to a normal 750rpm.
