The car is stalling and not restarting.

Problem Summary

Driving to Melbourne, the car suddenly lost power and all the dash lights (engine check light etc) and speedo flicking on and off then the engine stalled. Rolled to a stop and attempted to start the car but would not crank. Waited for a few minutes then the car started and drove fine for a short while until the same symptoms occurred. Had to drive the car for 10-15 km before it would play up again.
