The transmission is shifting harshly, and the engine is low on power.

Problem Summary

When the vehicle is first started and goes to drive off, the transmission starts in 1st and changes to 2nd, then the stability control (ESP) light comes on as the transmission selects 3rd, then the vehicle de-rates and goes into limp home mode. The customer turns off the vehicle and restarts, and drives ok until the next morning.
