The engine will not crank over, and lights are going out on the dash and information display when trying to start the engine.

The vehicle had a service and other repairs performed at their local repairer. The customer picked up the vehicle and stopped at the shopping centre on their way home. They returned to the vehicle only to find that it would not start. When the brake pedal is depressed and the start button is pressed all of the dash lights and information centre display turn off and stay off for a few minutes.
