Customer Complaint

After a timing belt replacement, the engine made a strange sound and came to a sudden stop.

Problem Summary

The customer had the timing belt kit replaced, and afterwards, the engine made a strange noise.

The next day, the noise was still there, so the customer got the mechanic to inspect and he said that it should be ok. On the day after that, there was no more strange noise coming from the engine so the customer drove it for about 30 minutes.

While driving the engine suddenly stopped. The owner called the roadside assistance and they inspected the engine and said it had a broken timing belt {{pic1}}.

All new parts have been installed and the timing has been reset. However, now, when the engine is spun over by hand, the engine stops turning, almost like something is hitting the piston.
